Some of the most talented entertainers in the ottawa valley (or Visiting)
Robin Cook hails from Yarmouth Nova Scotia from four generations of farming, he has been on the music scene long enough to have recorded three albums, has been nominated six times for east coast music awards and has even won three times. He brings to the stage a love of music, a depth not often seen of talent and insight to his music. From Single in a Bar to Lu Lu Lemon Pants, moving onto Like an Old Guitar, he can sing Hank and Merle and reach into your heart or mind with one of his original tunes. He will be joined on stage by Lanark Counties own Kelly Sloan a multi talented singer and song writer, plus various friends.
The Richmond Ramblers are a dynamic 8 piece group of bluegrass and folk musicians, they feature super tight vocals, driving rhythm and the excellent fiddle playing of teenage Elly Wedge. A super nice group of folks who present a great mix of music, they have performed on stage across the Ottawa Valley and recently opened for the legendary Valdy.
Howard Hayes and the Country Drifters have been a main stay of the Ottawa Valley music scene for over 5 decades, they have toured with Graham Townsend, Wilf Carter, Stonewall Jackson and so many others. All members of the Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame, they can reach back and hit you with some Ward Allan to the best of the heart breakers. I am proud to call these guys friends.
